Fraport AG has appointed Felix Toepsch as Vice President of Cargo Development, effective immediately, entrusting him with advancing the cargo business at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and supporting the hub’s next phase of growth.
Toepsch brings extensive experience within Fraport and Frankfurt’s air cargo community to the role. He joined Fraport AG in 2013 and has held a range of positions focused on business and process development and innovation. Since January 2023, he has served as Executive Director of Air Cargo Community Frankfurt e.V., working closely with businesses and institutions across the air freight value chain while representing more than 115 member companies.
During his tenure with the Air Cargo Community, Toepsch supported Frankfurt’s development as a leading European air freight hub, while advancing collaboration, process standardisation and digitalisation across the cargo ecosystem. His work included supporting the introduction of a common-use truck slot booking system and community-wide standards for cargo procedures. He has also maintained active engagement with industry associations at German and European levels.
His appointment comes as Fraport’s Cargo Development team advances a broader agenda spanning freight-process digitalisation and optimisation, infrastructure development and airport cargo marketing in collaboration with partners across Frankfurt’s cargo ecosystem.
