Porter has strengthened its leadership team as the digital goods transport platform enters its next phase of growth, appointing Gaurav Jain as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and elevating Shubham Gupta to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Mohit Rathi to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

The appointments align with Porter’s vision of formalising goods movement in India and expanding its impact on micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and driver-partners.

Jain joins Porter from Amazon, where he spent more than a decade. With over 20 years of experience in finance and strategy leadership across e-commerce, financial services and FMCG, he will oversee Porter’s financial strategy as the company scales.

Gupta, who joined Porter in 2015, has led engineering through a period of rapid expansion. His work has focused on technology speed, cost, security and scalability, including modernising the core technology stack, enabling self-service infrastructure access, strengthening security, optimising technology costs and adopting AI. As CTO, he will lead technology across Porter and its newer businesses.

Rathi has been with Porter for more than a decade, beginning his journey as an Expansion Manager. He launched the company’s operations in Hyderabad and Chennai before taking on the role of Vice President, Customer Growth & Engagement, in 2023. His responsibilities have included deepening customer insights, revamping the customer rewards programme, strengthening retention, scaling Porter Enterprise and refining go-to-market strategies for newer services. As CMO, he will lead Porter’s marketing and growth efforts.

Commenting on the leadership changes, Uttam Digga, Co-founder and CEO, Porter, said the company’s leadership elevations recognise the ownership and impact demonstrated by Gupta and Rathi. He also welcomed Jain, noting that his experience in scaling businesses would support Porter’s next phase of growth.
