IBS Software appoints Somit Goyal as new CEO

IBS Software, a leading SaaS solutions provider for the travel industry, has announced the appointment of Somit Goyal as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. Goyal succeeds Anand Krishnan, who served as CEO of IBS Software since 2018.

Prior to joining IBS Software, Goyal was President and COO of Pluralsight, a SaaS company, where he managed product, engineering, and go-to-market functions. Goyal brings extensive experience in the enterprise software sector, having held leadership roles at globally renowned companies such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, and AOL. At Microsoft, Goyal managed global sales of the Modern Work cloud business and served as the Chief Operating Officer of the company’s Public Sector business worldwide. Notably, he conceived and established the customer success function at Microsoft, an area of growing importance for IBS Software as it continues its global expansion.

Anand Krishnan, who left IBS Software in March 2024, is now the CEO of Cyncly, a company offering software solutions to designers, retailers, and manufacturers in the spaces-for-living industry. Krishnan also has over a decade of experience with Microsoft.

Goyal holds an electrical engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi, and an MBA from INSEAD, France. He will report directly to V K Mathews.
