JWL Cold Store aims to serve the FMCG, Food, Pharma and healthcare industries for which it has specially designed dedicated food and pharma divisions— JWL Food Hub with 13,000 pallet capacity and JWL Pharma Hub with 24,000 pallet capacity. Facilities are FSSAI and FDA approved, ISO and GDP certified.
JWL’s cold chain facilities are built with FM approved fire rated sandwich panels for superior fire rating and preventing the spread of fire within the panel itself and, as such, can be compared to non-combustible panels for protection purposes. It has installed specialised flooring which is pharma and food grade approved. Its selective racking systems are customisable as per customer’s demand.
JWL Cold Store is equipped with the state-of-the-art warehouse management systems which support barcoding, FIFO and FEFO system controls. This has enabled the efficient and methodical handling of products and timely, accurate inventory and billing management.
JWL’s multi-temperature facilities and ambient storage spaces have specific temperature ranges to accommodate customer specifications:
- Frozen temperature range: – 25°C to -20°C
- Chiller temperature range: + 2°C to +8°C
- Chiller temperature range: +2°C to +4°C
- Chiller temperature range: +15°C to +25°C
- Ambient: +15°C to +30°C
- Ambient: +30°C and above

In 2014, JWL started out with an initial capacity of 6,800 pallets, but due to the huge demand for value-based cold chain capability requirements, it expanded its capacity to 37,000 pallets.

The ‘FOOD HUB’ storage and logistics
JWL’s unique Food Hub is a specially designed facility to service the perishable food industry and has augmented capacity for 6,800 pallets.
In June 2017, JWL Cold Store inaugurated JWL Food Hub-II in Mumbai. Located at Padeghar in Panvel, the ultra-modern facility boasts world-class cold chain solutions. It is aimed at servicing the rapidly growing perishable food industry and has 6,200 pallets storage capacity and temperature ranging from -250C to +250C.
The new Food Hub is being commissioned keeping in mind the rise in demand of the sector. With taking service commitment levels to newer heights, this facility is designed in a way that it caters to specific needs of the perishable food industry. Specialised material handling equipment, imported fire-proof PUF panels, and pollution-free ammonia-based cooling systems are some examples of high standards that are followed by JWL.
The ‘PHARMA HUB’ cold chain
JWL’s specially developed Pharma Hub is a unique facility meant to serve the pharmaceutical industry’ storage requirements with augmented capacity for up to 7,500 pallets.
Committed to taking service solutions to new heights, in June 2019, JWL Cold Store inaugurated JWL Pharma Hub 2.0 in Mumbai. Located at Palaspe in Panvel, the specialised facility boasts best-in-class cold chain solutions. It has 5,500 pallets storage capacity and temperature ranging from -250C to +250C. This facility has been designed to cater to specific needs of the Industry with specialised material handling equipment, imported fire-proof PIR panels, and eco-friendly cooling systems.
Added to this, in the year of 2021, JWL added another 12,000 pallets capacity to cater to the growing needs of the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.
