APM Terminals Pipavav (GPPL) has achieved a significant milestone in vehicle logistics, setting a new record for the highest number of RoRo (Roll on – Roll off) rakes processed in a single month. The terminal successfully handled 40 Newly Modified Goods (NMG) rakes, unloading an impressive 3,969 cars. This achievement surpasses the previous record of 30 NMG rakes, which was set in March 2024.

As one of India’s leading gateway ports, APM Terminals Pipavav plays a crucial role in handling containers, dry bulk cargoes, liquid bulk, and RoRo. The terminal boasts excellent road connectivity to the northwest regions of the country through its extensive rail and road network. Annually, APM Terminals Pipavav manages 1.35 million TEUs of container traffic, along with four million metric tonnes of dry bulk, two million metric tonnes of liquid bulk, and 250,000 passenger cars.
In addition to these capabilities, APM Terminals Pipavav is recognised as a pioneering port in India, being the first to connect with the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC). This public-private partnership (PPP) port continues to set benchmarks in operational efficiency and service excellence, reinforcing its position as a key player in the nation’s logistics sector.
