Challenge Group is expanding its presence in India by launching two additional weekly flights to Delhi, effective October 3, 2024. This initiative will increase the Group’s total operations to five weekly flights into India, which includes three flights to Mumbai. The new service will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays, utilising Challenge Group’s fleet of Boeing 767F aircraft, each capable of carrying approximately 52 tonnes of cargo.
Zak, Chief Commercial Officer of Challenge Group, emphasised the significance of Delhi as a crucial hub for global trade. The introduction of these routes demonstrates the Group’s commitment to enhancing India’s role in the global economy. The new flights will enhance connectivity for essential industries, offering vital capacity for temperature-controlled, time-sensitive, and high-tech shipments, along with supporting other complex sectors.
Delhi’s strategic position in linking northern India’s industries—including pharmaceuticals, automotive, and textiles—with international markets highlights the Group’s focus on strengthening global trade routes. The new service aims to provide increased cargo flexibility for global businesses, facilitating improved supply chain management between India and key markets in Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
With a fleet comprising Boeing 747 and 767 freighters, Challenge Group operates with over 1,000 employees across three airlines, handling more than 500,000 tonnes of cargo annually. The expansion not only underscores the Group’s commitment to operational growth but also signifies its dedication to supporting India’s burgeoning logistics sector.
This strategic move is set to significantly impact cargo transport and trade efficiency, reinforcing Challenge Group’s position as a key player in the logistics landscape.
