Sarbananda Sonowal assumes charge of Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways

Shri Sarbananda Sonowal took charge of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways again. In his address to office bearers and staff, Sonowal expressed confidence in his team’s ability to achieve the ministry’s goals, emphasising their commitment to serving the nation.

“Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways has been doing some stupendous work towards empowering the maritime sector and its holistic development in our endeavor to become an economic powerhouse,” Sonowal stated. He reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to the cause of nation-building, with the ultimate goal of achieving a developed India, or “Viksit Bharat.”

Sonowal highlighted the ministry’s ongoing commitment to the holistic development of the maritime sector, aligning with the Amrit Kaal Vision, 2047. This vision aims for comprehensive progress across various sectors, with a particular focus on transforming India into an economic powerhouse by 2047.

He also acknowledged the public’s trust in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, which, he believes, will continue to guide the ministry’s efforts with a “Nation First” approach. “People have reposed faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji who shall continue to guide us with the idea of Nation First towards a Viksit Bharat,” Sonowal reiterated.

The minister’s address emphasised a collective effort towards national development, aiming to sustain and enhance the ministry’s contributions to India’s maritime sector and overall economic growth.
