The Directorate General of Shipping (DG Shipping) has announced a collaboration with Lloyd’s Register (LR) to set up a Sustainable Maritime Innovation Centre in Mumbai. This strategic partnership aims to drive innovation in the maritime sector, promoting sustainability and technological advancement. The centre will focus on developing solutions that address key environmental challenges facing the shipping industry, aligning with global standards for sustainable practices.
The initiative is part of India’s broader commitment to enhancing maritime infrastructure and improving operational efficiency.
