SeaLead has announced the promotion of Suleyman Avci to the role of Global Chief Executive Officer, succeeding SC Chan, who had served as interim CEO since February. Avci, previously the Vice President of Global Trade Management and Managing Director for Europe and the Mediterranean, brings over 30 years of experience from senior roles at Arkas Line and MAS Shipping.
In his new position, Avci aims to drive SeaLead’s growth by leveraging the company’s strong financial position and strategic partnerships. He plans to focus on expanding into key regions, building capable teams, and timing investments to enhance the company’s asset base.
SC Chan will now serve as Chairman of a newly formed five-member board of directors. The board includes Joachim Schlotfeldt, Kim Young So, Capt. Subhangshu Dutt, and Martin Kaalund as non-executive directors. Chan’s new role will focus on guiding the strategic direction of the company alongside the new board.
