Scan Global Logistics successfully executed a time-sensitive heavy cargo movement from Mundra Port to Abu Dhabi, overcoming unexpected operational hurdles triggered by sudden changes in port regulations.

The shipment comprised more than 110 tonnes of critical cargo, including a 44.5 MT compressor machine, one 40-foot flat rack container and three 40-foot high cube containers. With strict contractual deadlines attached to the project, any delay could have exposed the customer to significant financial penalties and wider project cost implications.

Working with only technical drawings and packing lists at the initial planning stage, Scan Global Logistics engineered a transport solution focused on speed, operational control and cost efficiency for the oversized consignment.

As revised port requirements emerged during execution, the company swiftly coordinated with port authorities, shipping carriers and external agencies while arranging escorted cargo movements and managing additional documentation processes to keep the shipment moving safely and on schedule.

Despite the evolving operational challenges, the cargo was delivered within the required timeline, helping the customer meet critical project commitments without disruption.

The operation highlights Scan Global Logistics’ capability in handling complex project cargo and demonstrates how agility, coordination and rapid problem-solving continue to play a defining role in modern heavy-lift and industrial logistics operations.
