Active Freight Logistics handles 1269 kgs of COVID relief materials sent from abroad

Active Freight Logistics (AFL) handled 1269 Kgs of COVID-related cargo flown in to the country by a Qatar Airways Cargo flight. The relief cargo which included Oxygen Concentrators and other relief materials is donated by the Jain Society of North Texas- USA and arrived at 05.10 AM on May 11 at Bangalore International Aiport (BLR).

These relief materials are a part of the ongoing assistance to India in its fight against the second wave of COVID-19.

The said cargo was bonded at the Menzies Aviation Bobba – Customs Bonded Warehouse where customs examination and other formalities were completed in a short span of time and the cargo was loaded and moved out of the warehouse. AFL successfully cleared the shipment within 15 minutes from Customs and readied it for dispatched within 30 minutes from the warehouse, thanks to the COVID Relief Task Force team involved in handling of the shipments and facilitating the swift clearance.

In a span of ten days, several shipments and relief cargo materials have arrived India from the US, UK, UAE, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Germany, Qatar, Hong Kong, China, Isreal, Poland among other nations.
