Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Gujarat underscores significant advancements in the state’s logistics and transportation infrastructure. During his two-day visit, PM Modi will inaugurate several high-impact projects, reflecting a substantial boost to the region’s logistical capabilities.
Among the key highlights is the inauguration of a 35 Megawatt Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Solar PV Project at Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station, aimed at enhancing energy reliability and sustainability for logistics operations. Additionally, PM Modi will lay the foundation stones for critical railway infrastructure projects, including the quadrupling of the Samakhiali – Gandhidham and Gandhidham – Adipur railway lines. These upgrades are expected to substantially improve the efficiency of freight and passenger transport across these vital corridors, reducing transit times and boosting connectivity in the region.
The development of iconic roads in Ahmedabad and the construction of new flyover bridges at key junctions, such as Bakrol, Hathijan, Ramol, and Panjarpol, will further alleviate traffic congestion and streamline the movement of goods and people within the city.
In another significant move, PM Modi will launch India’s first Vande Metro from Bhuj to Ahmedabad and inaugurated several Vande Bharat trains on various routes.
These initiatives, combined with the inauguration of a 30 MW solar system and new 220 Kilovolt substations in Morbi and Rajkot, underline the government’s commitment to enhancing Gujarat’s logistical infrastructure and supporting sustainable development.
