PIL’s new weekly SIX service to offer fastest turnaround time between India, South China, North Vietnam

Pacific International Lines (PIL) has launched a new weekly direct service connecting South China and North Vietnam to India’s Nhava Sheva (JNPT) and Mundra in the West Coast.

In a move to complement its existing services to the region, the new service, known as South China India Express (SIX), effective October 22, 2021, will be offered by a consortium of five vessels of 2,800 TEU each jointly deployed by PIL, Regional Container Lines (RCL), CULines (CUL), and InterAsia Lines (IAL).

SIX is designed to respond to PIL’s customers’ need for more direct and efficient services as it offers the fastest transit time from South China to India’s West Coast.

It will also include a direct call from Haiphong to Nhava Sheva and/or Mundra, and vice versa, enabling its customers to reap commercial benefits, especially for time-sensitive refrigerated cargoes from India to Hai Phong.

The ports of call for the SIX service are as follows: Nansha, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang (Westport), Port Kelang (Northport), Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Port Kelang (Westport), and Hai Phong.
