Lufthansa Cargo has announced the appointment of Anand Kulkarni as the Head of Global Markets, effective from July 15th. In this newly created role, Kulkarni will oversee and integrate all sales regions and the Digital Sales department of Lufthansa Cargo. His responsibilities will span across key regions including Germany, Austria & Switzerland, Europe, Middle East, Africa, South Asia & CIS, Americas, and Asia Pacific. Kulkarni will report directly to Ashwin Bhat, CEO of Lufthansa Cargo.
An industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, Anand Kulkarni brings a wealth of global leadership experience to Lufthansa Cargo. Prior to joining Lufthansa Cargo, he served as Head of Global Expansion at General Logistics Systems (GLS Group), where he successfully developed and executed global growth strategies. His extensive career includes 15 years at DHL, where he held various management roles across Asia Pacific and EMEA. Notably, he led regional Pricing & Profitability and global Sales Steering & Performance Management for DHL’s strategic customers, and contributed to the creation of AeroLogic through DHL’s Global Aviation Strategy project.
Kulkarni’s career also includes significant contributions in aviation strategy and finance in the United States, working with leading firms across the aviation value chain. His diverse expertise will be instrumental in advancing Lufthansa Cargo’s global market position and enhancing its sales effectiveness across digital and traditional channels.
