Latam Airlines boosts digital offering with cargo.one

Latam Airlines Group has struck a deal with a digital sales platform to offer efficient and direct booking options.

The Group and its cargo subsidiaries (the Latam Cargo carriers) has entered a strategic relationship that will make the carriers’ network available for instant booking on the cargo.one platform.

“We want to provide customers with reliable and efficient solutions and a broad set of options that allows them to choose what works best for them,“ said Latam Cargo’s Chief Executive Officer, Andres Bianchi.

“The strategic collaboration with cargo.one enables expansion into an established, high performing digital marketplace, and to meet and exceed clients’ requirements for complete visibility and control in the booking process of their shipments,” he added.

This initiative is part of Latam Cargo’s innovative digitalisation agenda, with the aim of diversifying its distribution channels while offering customers best-in-class direct booking options.

This approach is proven to deliver freight forwarders more effective results than using airlines without this capability, said cargo.one.

Freight forwarders will be able to book the Latam Cargo carriers’ capacities from Europe and North America instantly on cargo.one from Q2 2022. cargo.one users will have access to the carriers’ services to more than 15 countries.

The Latam Cargo carriers are the first group of carriers in the region to diversify distribution channels, and also the first to partner with cargo.one.

Latam Cargo Chile, Latam Cargo Colombia and Latam Cargo Brazil are the cargo subsidiaries of Latam Airlines. They have access to the belly of the Group’s passenger aircraft and have a fleet of 11 freighters that will gradually expand until reaching 19 freighters by 2023.
