Air India SATS (AISATS) has announced the appointment of Mr. Sanjay Sharma as a Director on its Board. Mr. Sharma brings over three decades of extensive experience in the Real Estate and Infrastructure sector, Corporate Finance, and Investment Banking.
In his current role, Mr. Sharma serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Air India. Prior to this, he was the CFO of Tata Projects Limited, where he played a significant role in stabilising the finance function, establishing the Finance Risk Organisation, streamlining governance mechanisms, contributing to transformation efforts, and meeting the company’s capital requirements.
Mr. Sharma’s distinguished career includes his tenure as CFO of Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited, Managing Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank, and various roles at DSP Merrill Lynch Limited in Mumbai and Merrill Lynch Asia Pacific in Hong Kong.
Furthermore, Mr. Sharma has been actively involved with several industry bodies. He has served as a member of the Primary Market Advisory Committee of SEBI, a member of the Capital Markets Committee of FICCI and CII, and has held leadership positions, including Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Director of the Association of Investment Bankers of India (AIBI).
