Ocean Network Express (ONE) has added an expanded refrigerated container (RC) fleet to meet the growing demand for refrigerated cargo worldwide, adding another 27,500 units (including 850 equipped with state-of-the-art Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technology.
“This new investment will be in the form of 5000 units (all 40’HC) invested by ONE in early 2020, showing its strong commitment to satisfy the demand for containerized reefer business,” a company release reads.
The global refrigerated container trading in 2020 showed strong resilience compared to dry cargo in spite of the challenges posed by COVID-19 and ONE expects to sustain this growth in 2021.
“ONE’s Reefer technical team is available both onboard and onshore providing round the clock assistance and monitoring of its customers’ precious reefer cargo throughout the voyage,” the release said.
