cargo-partner has completed the acquisition of Transcargo in the Netherlands, consolidating the company’s growing footprint in Western Europe, as of February 16. The integration of Transcargo will be led by cargo-partner Network B V, which was founded in the Netherlands in 2006.
Stefan Krauter, CEO of the cargo-partner group said in a statement, “This is the first complete acquisition in cargo-partner history and it will strongly support our strategic objectives to expand our end-to-end capabilities and our Western European business. Following the positive development of our activities in the Benelux region, including the representations at Liège airport and in Roermond which we opened last year, this is the next step in our ongoing expansion.”
The company began its partnership with Transcargo in May 2020 with an office and warehouse located in Roermond, the Netherlands. The warehouse is situated in a strategic logistics hotspot within 250 km of 10 million residents, with ideal airport and port connections and close to the borders to Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.
Krauter added, “As we move forward with the integration process, our primary focus is to retain all Transcargo customers and ensure seamless high-quality service, complemented by the added service portfolio which cargo-partner has to offer. Likewise, our own customer relationships will benefit from an expanded service range, growth of expertise and increased operational excellence. cargo-partner and Transcargo will continuously strive to offer our customers the best end-to-end solutions across Europe.”
