NLDSL launches ULIP Hackathon 2.0 to foster innovation in logistics sector

NICDC Logistics Data Services Ltd. (NLDSL) has announced the launch of the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) Hackathon 2.0, a competitive event designed to drive innovation and digital solutions in India’s logistics sector. The Hackathon was officially unveiled at a launch event chaired by Rajeev Singh Thakur, Additional Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), held at Vanijya Bhawan.

The event saw robust participation, with over 1800 attendees joining both physically and virtually. Hackathon 2.0 builds upon the success of the first ULIP Hackathon, which led to the development of cutting-edge logistics solutions. This year, participants including developers, start-ups, and industry stakeholders are encouraged to tackle major logistics challenges such as sustainability, supply chain complexity, unified documentation, and multimodal logistics optimisation.

Rajeev Singh Thakur emphasised the importance of such initiatives, stating, “We are excited to launch ULIP Hackathon 2.0, an initiative that fosters creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. With the tremendous success of Hackathon 1.0, we are confident that this year’s event will generate even more innovative solutions to shape the future of India’s logistics ecosystem.”

In conjunction with Hackathon 2.0, NLDSL also introduced the “Track Your Transport” (TYT) app, powered by ULIP, aimed at empowering small-scale transporters and traders. The TYT app offers features such as real-time cargo tracking across all transport modes and vehicle and driver verification, eliminating the need for expensive IT infrastructure.

Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO & MD of NICDC and Chairman of NLDSL, noted that the TYT app marks a key step toward digital empowerment in the logistics sector. He stated, “This app enhances operational efficiency and visibility, allowing small players to compete with the industry’s biggest names.”

The Track Your Transport app is available at www.trackyourtransport.in and on Android, iOS, and Digital India platforms.
